How toxins impact your health and what you can do about it today

How toxins impact your health

Despite advances in modern medicine and technology, today more than ever people are suffering from chronic illnesses through all stages of the human life cycle. In our search for health, have we missed something? Or have the challenges evolved?

For much of the twentieth century, integrative, functional, and natural medicine doctors named nutritional deficiencies and excesses as the primary causes of chronic disease.

Why?

Because about sixty years ago toxins started entering our world in massive amounts. There are currently more than 85,000 chemicals in the US that make up the products in our daily lives and very few have been assessed thoroughly for safety.

Hidden poisons in the air, water, food and products we use are destroying our health.

I believe that knowledge is power. When you know the real situation AND are presented (or research) a solution, you can then fix the problem.

Toxins are the invisible primary drivers of countless health problems. You can lighten your toxic load and regain your health. I healed my thyroid condition, had a baby and helped hundreds of people with detox.

Toxins damage every aspect of our physiological function and play a role in virtually all diseases. A few examples:

  1. Toxic metal arsenic makes you fat and tired. It poisons enzymes that transport nutrients into mitochondria, our energy factories that are very important for our metabolism. It directly affects muscle fibers causing fatigue and decreases your ability to recover from fatigue. Arsenic poisons enzymes that transport triglycerides out of fat cells. This makes it pretty hard to lose weight if your fat cells cannot release fat!

  2. Aluminum toxicity is a known contributor to dementia in the scientific literature. Aluminum toxicity can also cause cell death because of the free radicals generated by aluminum itself.

  3. Tin destroys the charge on the outside of your mitochondria – your cell’s powerhouses that make your body’s energy. If there is no charge on the outside of the mitochondria, they cannot make adequate levels of energy.

  4. Thallium is an extremely toxic metal that reduces our ability to produce energy and contributes to adrenal fatigue. Thallium is in fact ten times more toxic than mercury. Thallium is a potent mitochondrial poison. It enters mitochondria passively and then causes the mitochondria to swell by accumulating inside. That then causes a decrease in energy (ATP) production and increases in reactive oxygen species formation, glutathione oxidation, and decreases dopamine and serotonin levels in the brain.

Toxin solution

First, we need to understand where the toxins are hiding and how they enter the body. With this understanding we can minimize our exposure to toxins making it easier for our liver, kidneys and gut to do their job of removing toxic substances.

Second, we need to replenish nutrient deficiencies so our bodies can be strong enough to detox. Nutrient deficiencies are very common because most people have poor digestive ability and our food is less nutritious. Restoring digestive function, eating nutrient dense diet and taking targeted supplements gets the job done beautifully!

To help you thrive in our modern times I have created the Balanced YOU Detox Program. It addresses toxicity and deficiencies in a customized manner that serves YOU.

Things you can do now

Begin with small changes and never stop reducing your exposure to environmental toxins. Every little bit counts. To help you get started, I created a Facebook community where weekly we cover different topics on creating healthier and happier homes with detox.

You should not detox alone:)
